Description: A species with a couple color forms. The typical form (green and orange) has green forewings with several black tooth-like markings at the tip. There is a pale blue stripe, sometimes bordered on both sides by an orange stripe, that runs diagonally across the wing. The scutellum is yellow with several thin black lines, and the pronotum is green. The top of the head is light brown or orangish with a pale blue stripe along midline; hindwings are dark reddish-brown. Another form (blue and red) has mostly blue to turquoise forewings with bold red diagonal stripes. The scutellum is reddish and the top of the head and parts of the thorax are also red. Adults of both color forms are about 6 mm in length. See here for a neat picture of the two color forms mating. (BG)
