DistributionThere are 2 collections at SERNEC, from Durham and Forsyth counties, but both are misidentified. This species (and any infraspecific varieties) should be deleted from the NC flora, as neither BONAP nor Weakley (2018) credit it to the state.

Native to Eurasia and in N.A., in Canada and the U.S. native south only to CT, IL, TX, and AZ. Escapes scattered in the Southeast.
