DistributionA single collection: New Hanover County, Wilmington, lawn of abandoned house, Front Street. Collected in 1970. Apparently escaped from some garden here or nearby.

Native of China; scattered records in the U.S.
AbundanceVery rare; perhaps no longer extant.

Phenology
IdentificationIt is unlike our other members of the family in having erect stems potentially up to 3 feet tall; however, NC material when collected had stems only 8 inches or less. It grew from a horizontal subsurface stem.
Taxonomic CommentsFormerly treated as Selaginella braunii, and later as Lycopodioides braunii.
