Distribution | Apparently rarely cultivated in NC -- a single gathering from 1956 on Duke University campus. The only non-cultivated specimen was collected in 2006 at Battle Park on UNC Chapel Hill campus. Identification | A climbing vine with alternate leaves that are wider than long and truncate or shallowly notched at tip, and with tiny teeth along margins. Flowers are white, 1/2 inch across, with about 7 petals. Fruits (not seen in NC) are the brown "Kiwi-fruit" with fuzzy skin and green interior. | |
