Author | Nesom | |
Distribution | "Nesom (2022b) demonstrated that what has been previously identified in North America as G. coarctata is actually a different species, G. impatiens" (Weakley 2022). Thus, the editors have moved all of the former G. coarctata records to this species.
Native to South America.
Abundance | Rare, but presumably occurs in other counties in the eastern two-thirds of the state.
Habitat | Mesic to dry roadsides, lakeside, mesic roadside near creek.
Phenology | Flowering and fruiting March-July.
Identification | This everlasting has glabrous upper surfaces of the leaves, usually no hairs at all (contra G. chionesthes, G. argyrinea, and G. purpurea).
