DistributionThere are no specimens so-named in the SERNEC database, nor does Weakley (2018) indicate it as being found in NC. FNA does map it in NC, as does BONAP (but without a specific county). For now we will leave the map blank and consider it as not having been reliably recorded in NC.

IdentificationApparently closely similar to S. lateriflorus, which see, but with long creeping rhizomes, and stem uniformly spreading-pubescent. Leaves usually are uniformly pubescent beneath.
