It was using its front legs to scoot up onto the seat and sun itself briefly. It then took a few turns back and forth and then dove into the water. It had a pointy nose, did not have a beaver tail and had short small legs. No fur. 18 to 24 inches long and narrow body. About 2 weeks ago, I sighted a deceased otter on the beach no where close to the high tide line but on the ocean side of the dune.
