Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Records appear to come from mesic to wet forests. The habitat at one locality in Durham County consists of a mesic stand of hardwoods growing on a slope adjacent to an extensive area of bottomland hardwoods. At Weymouth Woods State Natural Area, a record for this species comes from a Sandhills Streamhead Forest, also dominated by bottomland hardwoods.
