Cherokia georgiana (Bollman, 1889) - No Common Name

Comments: Recent work (Vasquez-Valverde LF, Marek PE, 2022) has shown that the subspecies of Cherokia are not supported, and have been synonomized with Cherokia georgiana.
Species Status: Highly variable in dorsal color and pattern, including two spots, three spots or a continuous stripe on each body ring and yellow, orange or a combination of colors. The three-spotted yellow variation is most common in NC, but striped and orange variations also occur (Vasquez-Valverde LF, Marek PE, 2022)

Distribution: Occurs from western Virginia and eastern Kentucky, through Tennessee, southwest NC and Northwest SC, and into Alabama and Georgia.
