Taxonomic Comments: Possible new species from GSMNP. Reported in Bertolani et al. 2014. DNA data for M. saracenus is available in GenBank, need fresh material from smokies for further comparison.
Species Notes: Freshwater. One specimen differed from M. saracenus, but slide was lost. Need fresh material for further delineation.
