Comments: In North Carolina, this species is only known from a single historic record, at a site that is highly disjunct from the rest of its range. It appears to be a high elevation species and could be a Pleistocene relict, as has been hypothesized for a number of other disjunct species occurring at high elevations in our mountains. If still extant, it is likely to be of high conservation concern.
