Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Habitats include open sandy areas in the barrier islands and Fall-line Sandhills but may also include wooded habitats in the Piedmont and Mountains.
Larval Host Plants: Polylectic but with a preference for Asteraceae (Carril and Wilson, 2021). A wide range of host plants are also used to line the nests (Discover Life).
