Taxonomic Comments: DNA analysis of specimens of Milnesium from Purchase Knob, GSMNP was reported by Guil et al. 2022. Their molecular analysis showed a close genetic relationship with M. eurystomum though they did not align morphologically. They assigned the name Milnesium cf. eurystomum.
Species Notes: Terrestrial.
