Taxonomic Comments: This is a presumptive new species discovered in the GSMNP. It is very similar to P. burti, but cuticle with punctation.
Species Notes: Terrestrial. Only known from Great Smokies Mountains National Park. Requires fresh specimens for complete description.

Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Lichen on Frazier fir tree.
Abundance: Very rare, only known from one specimen in Bartels' GSMNP collection.
Diet: Microbivore.
Reproduction: Smooth eggs deposited in exuvium.
