Species Description: Length up to 405 µm. The body is white. Cuticle covered with small thickenings (up to 1.5 µm), irregularly distributed (Pl. XVI d), being the biggest in the middle and the rear of the body. Granulation of legs similar, but distinctly smaller. Mouth opening situated antero-ventrally. Mouth tube 26 µm long (measurements in a specimen 230 µm long) and 2.5 µm wide. Pharynx oval (25 x 22 µm), with small apophyses and three narrow macroplacoids. No microplacoid. The first and the second macroplacoids equal in length (2.5 µm), the third one slightly longer (3.5 µm). All macroplacoids and apophyses are connected with thin, cuticular lists. Claws large, with small accessory spines at the main branches. No bars at the bases of I - III inner claws, no lunules. The outer claws of IVth pair 21 µm long. In exuviae 6-9 smooth eggs. Very rare, hydrophilous species, probably widely distributed in Poland. A geopolitan element.
