Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come mainly from stands of upland hardwoods, but including possibly both mesic and dry-xeric habitats.
Diet: Larvae feed on the soft, dead heartwood of Oak, Chestnut, and rarely Pine (Yanega, 1996; Lingafelter, 2007).
