Gates2014-09-20Kyle Kittelberger, Paul Scharf20Adultopen, grassy area near mixed hardwood forest. Male 3.4 mm long- "The male genitalia don’t quite match DeLong’s illustration of C. arundinea. I don’t have enough material to compare to know if they are actually different or there is just an error in the illustration. This is quite close to what DeLong illustrated, the only clear difference is the shape of the lateral arm which in DeLong’s illustration curves ventrally then dorsally near the tip, and appears to be pointed, in the specimen I dissected it continues posteriorly then curves ventrally at the tip, which is slightly swollen and rounded."- J.
