Description: A shiny brown species with a brown frons with the epistomal margin having a white transverse band. The antennae are yellowish while the pronotum is mostly white, brown anteriorly. The front tibiae are considerably expanded in the front, giving the impression of a spider. The abdomen is brown and the wings are brown with a white transverse band posteriorly. Macropterous individuals are colored similarly to the brachypters but have clear wings with light brown veins. Adult brachypterous males are 1.73-1.84 mm long, while females are 2.24-2.37 mm; macropterous females are around 3.13 mm. (Bartlett & Deitz, 2000)
