Description: A sexually dimorphic species. Males are rufousy-brown overall with yellow to white wings veins. The top of the scutellum is marked with a small black band, followed by a bold, distinctive yellowish transverse band across the pronotum. There is a transverse rufous "band" (not as defined as the other bands) across the base of the pronotum and part of the head, with a small black line bordering this band and the rest of the head. Finally, there are two small black marks on the edge of the head. Females resemble the males in color but lack the distinct wing venation and may only have a faint band on the pronotum. (RGC)
