Description: A distinctive looking species, one of the most boldly marked members of this genus. There are two prominent golden-brown transverse bands on otherwise white wings. The scutellum is golden-brown, with the color extending onto the base of the pronotum; the anterior margins of the pronotum are white. The crown of the head is also golden-brown in color, with some white along the edge. The crown is strongly produced, with a noticeable point; it is sharply angled towards the face. The female pregenital sternite is usually darkened and has a prominent triangular posterior projection with a small notch in the middle. Adult males are 3.7- 4.9 mm long, while females are typically 4.7- 5.2 mm. (Hamilton 1975)

Abundance: Scattered across the Coastal Plain, where it is locally common to common.
