Description: Overall, this species is brown tinged with orange and yellow/yellow-green. The vertex is broadly, bluntly angled, about 1/4 wider between the eyes than at the median length. The vertex margin is white, bordered above and below with a dark brown to black line; the above line is continuous but waved and interrupted in the middle with a very slight white incision. The female pregenital sternite is very distinctive and different from other members in this genus, with a broad produced convex tooth in the middle; this tooth extends beyond the rounded lateral angles of the sternite. The male genital plates are long and slender and triangular, diverging from one another. Adults are around 5.0 mm long. (DeLong 1941)
