Description: A dark species, with the wings in the male darker than the pronotum and white areas confined to chains of spots; in females, the white areas are extensive, forming broad bands, and the pronotum is darker than the wings. The head is as wide as the pronotum, and the crown is slightly produced. The female pregenital sternite has a prominent posterior projection, with a slight median notch; the lateral lobes at the base of the projection are rounded. Adult males are 4.2-4.4 mm long, while females are 4.9-5.2 mm. (Hamilton 1975)
