Description: Overall, it is yellow to greenish, though the species is variable in coloration across its range. The vertex is bluntly angled, usually with a row of four spots above the apex; the inner pair of spots may vary in size, and the outer spots are often short bands extending from the margins of the eyes, interrupted in the middle. The pronotum is usually pale anteriorly and darker posteriorly, and often appears irregularly striped longitudinally. The wings are smoky or olive subhyaline, with the venation paler. The face is black, with pale arcs. The underside of the abdomen and thorax are dark fuscous to black, with the edges of segments variably paler. The legs are pale brownish and variably infuscated. The female pregenital sternite has the posterior margin sinuately sloping to a slightly excavated central portion that has an acute black tooth at the center of concavity; membranous lobes are conspicuous at the sides of the segments. The male subgenital plates are broad at the bases and covexly rounded to blunt tips, which equal or surpass the pygofers. Adult males are 2.8-3.3 mm long, while females are 3.5-4.1 mm.
