description A distinctive pale species; no other species in the state resembles it. The wings are large and generally pale, with black venation, dark smudges on the hindwings, and dark marks on the forewings. The body is pale to light brown in color, sometimes reddish. distribution Primarily eastern United States (UDEL)
abundance Several records in the Piedmont and Coastal Plain; can be quite abundant where found.
