description |
A dark species with a metallic luster, typically greenish-black to black in color. There is a pale median stripe extending from the tip of the head across the thorax; the boldness of this line can vary among individuals. The most characteristic feature of this species is its 'nose' or head projection; the projection is distinctly bulbous and rugged, being long with a 'kink' or funny bend and noticeably protruding outwards from the body. The anteclypeus is tan. The legs are yellow, streaked with brown. |
