description A very dark species with a dark brown to black body; adults are mostly concolorous/uniformly colored and have shiny bodies. The antennae and legs are pale to stramineous, and the face is almost entirely dark brown to black; the pronotum and mesonotum are also very dark brown. The wings are dark brown, lacking and transverse contrasting bands. Adult brachypterous females are around 3.4 mm long. (Bartlett & Deitz, 2000)

abundance Rare. Recorded from a couple counties in the mountains, possibly more abundant in the right habitat.
