description A dark brown to reddish-brown to black shiny species which is sexually dimorphic. The frons is a light brown color, with a darker brown, contrasting clypeus. The antennal segments are a light brown. In brachypterous males, the wings are a dark brown with a thin white apical margin. In females, the wings lack the white apical margin. Macropterous individuals are similar in color to brachypters but have clear wings. The antennae are stramineous. Adult brachypterous males are 2.38-2.90 mm long, while females are 2.54-3.40 mm; macropterous females are 3.81-3.88 mm. (Bartlett & Deitz, 2000)
