description |
A large robust, reddish-brown species. The vertex is one-fourth longer in the middle than next to the eyes. The overall color is yellowish reddish-brown irrorations, and the anterior border of the vertex is ivory yellow. The female pregenital sternite is broadly rounded laterally with a pair of median, rounded teeth separated by a small narrow notch. The male subgenital plates are long and triangular, with bluntly pointed apices. Adults are 7-7.25 mm long. (DeLong & Hershberger, 1949; Crowder, 1952)
