description A generally light-brown species. The crown is yellowish white with a dark brown anterior marginal line, a transverse cadmium-orange band between the anterior eye margins, and red eyes. The face is yellow with two complete and at least two partial transverse dark brown lines below the crown margin. The pronotum is golden yellow with broad transverse white bands that turn caudally near the lateral margins, with the posterior marginal line equal to the scutellum width. The scutellum is golden yellow on the anterior half, and yellowish white on the posterior half with a black dot on each lateral margin. The forewings are light brown, with many cells having dark brown areas; there are two large white areas dorso-centrally and numerous small spots laterally. The coxae are dark brown, with the legs white to yellowish-white with black spots at the base of each lateral setae and brown at the base of the first tarsal segment and most of the second tarsal segment. The abdominal terga are dark brown, yellowish-white laterally, and brown and white ventrally, with the sterna dark brown to faded toward the posterior. The seventh sternum is white with a dark brown posterior medial area, and the pygofer and ovipositor are golden-yellow. The male subgenital plates are short. The female pregenital sternite is slightly roundly produced. Adult males are 5.6 mm long, while females are 5.7-5.8 mm. (Barnett 1976)
