Identification | Crowned Beggarticks is a tall (2-4 feet or more) and very slender (yet showy) plant. The leaves are divided into 3 or 5 (or 7) linear segments that may be hard to see amid surrounding vegetation. Heads are solitary on long stalks which arch outward, and are showy with bright yellow ray florets and orange-yellow disk florets. The skinny, usually untoothed or unlobed leaf segments separate it from other beggarticks. | |
