Native of eastern Asia; in N.A. MA to southern Ont., WI, and KS, south to FL and OK.
AbundanceApparently very rare.
HabitatTurkey Oak sandhills (Moore Co.), cemetery entrance with weeds (Macon Co.), Mason Farm (Orange Co.), field (Richmond Co.).
PhenologyFlowering July-September.
IdentificationIt is very similar to L. bicolor; see Weakley's (2018) key for critical characters. The leaflets appear to be subtly narrower than those of bicolor and are more pointed.
