DistributionThere is a single collection by Steve Leonard in 1970 from west of Pittsboro, Chatham County (many herbaria).

Native of Europe; in N.A. NC, AR, LA, TX, CA, OR.
AbundanceVery rare.
HabitatRoadside, field.
PhenologyFlowering and fruiting May-June.
IdentificationYellow Vetch clambers up on other plants with the help of weak tendrils. The 6-16 leaflets are slender. The flowers are rather large and yellow. It differs from V. grandiflora by its distinctly unequal calyx lobes and pilose pods.
