DistributionCultivated in several arboreta and botanical gardens, but found as an escape only at Battle Park, UNC Chapel Hill, Orange County; a few plants were found in 2006. Collected in Anson County in 2024.

Native of Europe and North Africa.

Phenology
IdentificationUnlike our native Arisaema, Italian Arum has a single, undivided leaf with hastate lobes. Leaf surfaces are variegated with pale splotches. The spathe is narrow and occurs far down the stem.
