DistributionFirst discovered by Eric Ungberg at Kitty Hawk Woods on the Outer Banks of Dare County, 26 May 2022. Specimens gathered 12 July 2022.

Native to Europe; in N.A. found in Canada, Florida, Idaho, and the Pacific states.
AbundanceVery rare.
HabitatAlong a path and in adjacent woods.
Phenology
IdentificationNote the large and broad leaflets vs. those of L. corniculatus. Ungberg also noted that stems were hollow and that plants start out erect but eventually end up trailing.
Taxonomic CommentsBy some authors treated as L. corniculatus var. uliginosus (Schkuhr) Fiori. Also included within L. pedunculatus by some authorities.
