Native of southern South America. Weakley (2024a) shows only a record(s) from the SC Coastal Plain as the only record in the Southeastern states. Obviously, this is a very recent introduction.

Phenology
IdentificationThis species differs from Chevreulia acuminata by its leaves being in a basal rosette, as opposed to basal and on the stem. Also, this species has spathulate leaves with rounded tips, whereas C. acuminata has acuminate tips to the leaves.
