Native of Eurasia; in N.A. throughout.
AbundanceRare.
HabitatRoadside ditchbank, vacant lot in Raleigh, roadside edge of pine savanna (Craven Co.).
PhenologyFlowering and fruiting April-July.
IdentificationThis species is much like S. alba, but the pod beak is round in cross-section and the pod is glabrous. The stems may also be glabrous.
Taxonomic CommentsFormerly named as Sinapis arvensis, and before that as Brassica kaber RAB 1968).
