Habitats and Life History
Habitats:
Larval Host Plants: Reported hosts include Clematis and bluets (Houstonia) (Forbes, 1923; Covell, 1984). Charley Eiseman has a BugGuide record for a larva reared from Virginia Virgin's-bower (Clematis virginiana) in Massachusetts. - View
Observation Methods: The adults often nectar during the day on Daucus, Asclepius, Erigeron and other wildflowers.
