Habitats:
Larval Host Plants: Larvae reportedly feed on cherry (Prunus spp.), including Black Cherry (P. serotina) and Choke Cherry (P. virginiana) (Forbes, 1948; Beadle & Leckie, 2012). We do not have any feeding records in North Carolina. - View

State Protection: Has no legal protection, although permits are required to collect it on state parks and other public lands.
Comments: According to J.B. Sullivan, none of our specimens of muzzaria may actually represent that species. DNA analysis will be needed to clarify these relationships.
