Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Forests, woodlands, and wooded swamps (Wagner et al., 2001). Most of our records come from high elevation hardwoods, cove forests, and montane riparian forests.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae are polyphagous, feeding on many species of hardwood trees and shrubs. Wagner et al., 2001 specifically mention maple (Acer), birch (Betula), apple (Malus), and oak (Quercus). We do not have any feeding records in North Carolina. - View
