Adult Markings: The ground color is smoky gray rather than white, with no obvious powdering (Forbes, 1948). The vertex is white in both sexes and terminal dots are usually absent.
Wingspan: 35-40 mm; southern form is similar in size to canosaria (Forbes, 1948)
Adult ID Requirements: Identifiable from good quality photos of unworn specimens.
