Adult Markings: Males can be distinguished from those of T. notialis by their smaller size and black color on the wings. Females are gray and cannot be distinguished from notialis based on maculation alone.
Adult ID Requirements: Identifiable from photos showing hindwings, abdomen, or other specialized views [e.g., frons, palps, antennae, undersides].
