Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Most of our records come from mesic hardwood forests in the Mountains, where Sugar Maple is the main host plant. Piedmont records come from bottomland forests as well as upland areas with mafic substrates.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae are reported on Sugar Maple and related species (Wagner, 2005). In the Piedmont, Southern Sugar Maple is probably a primary host (Miller et al., 2018). - View
