Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come almost entirely from bottomland hardwoods, particularly with rich alluvial soils.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on elms, probably primarily on large-leafed species, including American Elm (Ulmus americana) and Slippery Elm (U. rubra) (Wagner, 2005). In North Carolina, we have feeding records for American Elm and Winged Elm (U. alata). - View
