Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come from a wide range of habitats, with the majority from floodplains, shorelines, wet pine savannas, peatlands, swamps, and mesic hardwoods. Only a few come from drier habitats, including sandhills and dry slopes in the Piedmont and Mountains. Records are essentially missing from old fields, grasslands, and montane conifer forests.
