Habitats and Life History
Habitats: The majority of our records come from the Mountains, where they have been found in association with high elevation forests, cove forests, alluvial forests, and semi-natural grasslands. We also have records from one site just above the Fall-line where open, lakeshore is the most likely habitat.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae apparently feed on a wide range of grasses. Crumb (1956) reported it as using Wheat, Wild Rice, Timothy, and Corn. Additional records (see Mikkola et al., 2009) include Bromus Grass and Rye. - View
