Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come mainly from fairly open habitats -- including semi-rural residential areas.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on dock (Rumex spp.) (Rockburne & Lafontaine, 1976). The most widespread species of dock in North Carolina are introduced species. In the Mountains, the only recorded native species is Pale Dock (Rumex altissimus). - View
