Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Most of our records come from residential areas, probably in association with hops grown for home brewing. At least one record comes from a natural area with extensive non-riverine swamp forests, possibly indicating that other members of the Urticaceae can be used.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on hops (Wagner et al., 2011). In North Carolina, we have found it feeding on Japanese Hops (Humulus scandens). - View
