Habitats and Life History
Habitats: North Carolina records come from bottomland hardwoods, dry sand ridges, cove forests, and mountain ridges.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae are polyphagous, with host plants including birch (Betula), dogwood (Cornus), maple (Acer), meadow-sweet (Spiraea), oak (Quercus), poplar (Populus), Sweet-fern (Comptonia peregrina), and Viburnum (Wagner et al., 2001). We do not have any feeding records in North Carolina. - View
