Adult Markings: The ground is smooth rather than mottled; the median line and subreniform are obsolete; the postmedian runs straight across the wing to the inner margin (Forbes, 1954)

Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come from Coastal Plain savannas, sand ridges, and maritime dunes, similar to our other species of Mocis, but also from successional and semi-natural grasslands over the rest of the state
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on grasses, including Panicum, Andropogon, and Spartina (Wagner et al., 2011) - View
