Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Wagner et al. (2011) list barrens, woodlands and forest as habitat.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on beech and oak (Wagner et al., 2011); reports from other hosts require confirmation. In North Carolina, larvae have been recorded feeding on Darlington Oak (Quercus hemisphaerica), Willow Oak (Q. phellos), and Post Oak (Q. stellata). - View
